The Zootopia Terror

Image
Headphones Recommended The Zootopia Terror was a horror parody to the original trailer of the Disney movie: Zootopia. I chose this film in particular because I really like the vibrant colors and overall look and feel of the film.  In order to make the trailer itself, I used two different trailers for the movie found on YouTube, and in addition, a "music video" featured in the movie that was located on YouTube as well. As I made it quite oblivious, the overall suspenseful effect in this trailer is achieved with intense music, and precisely placed sound and video effects. In order to try my best to adhere to fair use, I heavily altered the video by cutting it up a lot, color grading it, and adding effects to make it more original. Furthermore, it might not be as clear, but I used two different renditions of the same song (a piano version and the original version), in addition to heavy sound effects to alter the original sound of the audio used for this video. Do You Even Need a College Education Anymore?

James Last Despite recent advances in technology, individuals are still advised to pay an ever increasing amount to attend college, in order to attain information that can be found on the internet entirely  free.  Tune in to learn what current college students and professors make of this question of educational value in the 21st century. Speakers in order of appearance : James Last, Ries Allyn, Evan Buarer, Parker Newman, Barry Thornberg, Dr. Doug Hall.
Forum 3: Audio Story Components James Last BACKGROUND MUSI C The background music I have chosen for this podcast is a traditional orchestra piece composed by Sir Edward Elgar around the year 1905.  Pomp and Circumstance, informally known as the "graduation song" is a beautifully crafted, emotionally charged piece, that brings the audience back in time to the day of their High School/ College graduation. The purpose of using this piece is to mirror the overall theme of education that runs throughout my podcast. The irony, which I believes makes it effective, is that the happiness and nostalgia associated with this song is contrasted by the grotesque and controversial question: Do you even need a college education any more? NOISE The first part of this recording is of me talking with a large amount of audio noise . As you will notice, the majority of this noise comes from a large outdoor fan.  The second part of this video, which is separ...

Topic Ideas for Podcast

Idea 1: Getting rich... Slowly? One of my interests is the stock market.  I know, I know,  it sounds really boring. However, what's not boring is this: Money. We live in a society where money talks and where money holds a lot of power. Interestingly, however, research shows us that very few young people understand the stock market, let alone invest money into it. To stage this podcast, I would focus less on the boring specifics of the stock market, and more on the life changing benefits of compound interest and passive income (also known as letting the money work for you).  The intriguing nature of this idea is that it is a great opportunity that most people overlook, I will demonstrate this by 1) interviewing college students about what they know/ think about the stock market. This should illustrate that there is a lack of knowledge about it. 2) I will interview a finance professor and a financial adviser to show how great of opportunity the stock market is.  At t...
